Expertly crafted from ātaahua flower jade pounamu, this pendant showcases the beautiful combination of the Whale-Tohorā tail and Fern frond~Koru design.

Pendant measures 6.0cm length x 3.5cm at widest

Complete with an adjustable cord, the Greenstone~Pounamu Koru pendant offers a customized fit around the neck.

Symbolizing protection and spiritual navigation, the whale tail and Koru design evoke a sense of harmony, growth, and new beginnings. This
stunning piece embodies guardianship, strength, and a strong connection to Te Moana (the sea).

The Koru~Tohorā is deeply rooted in Maori culture, symbolizing strength, speed, protection, and good luck. According to legend, the first person to arrive in New Zealand was carried on the back of a whale, safely arriving at their new home. This powerful symbol is commonly found in Maori carvings.

Flower Jade (Marsden Jade) is a rare and valuable type of pounamu from New Zealand, known for its distinctive golden-yellow-orange patterns, also called “putiputi” (flower in Māori).

Over time, it develops its unique colors through weathering, as minerals enter the stone in rivers and create its signature golden patterns, found in stones ranging from light inanga to dark kawakawa.
